00:0000:00

In 2010, having just graduated from LEDA (The Acting School), Cyriel made her first solo on stage “Strange People », a cabaret mixing monologues in the work of William Shakespeare with songs from the group The Doors.

Then in 2013 “The Korrigan's Journey », a show for children retracing a journey to discover the world through ancestral tales from the countries visited.

Finally in 2015 “Sidewalk Flower », a monologue on the sung-spoken style popular in France at the beginning of the 20th century, covering a cappella a repertoire of French songs from 1930 to 1950 on the world of prostitution.

"All my theatrical creations alone-on-stage are based on ancient texts, where I mix several artistic disciplines (theater, singing, dance, puppetry, mask, etc.). They also deal with a desire to understand humanity. The themes of respect, listening and compassion are essential.

As a woman and an artist, I am also committed to defending and elevating the condition of women in our world. Through my works (theater, dance, performance, etc.), I defend complementarity for men and women,

as well as a deep respect for all beings."

“Strange People” is a story of people, of choices, of passions, of madness, but above all of life.

A collection of monologues chosen from the major works of William Shakespeare (King Lear, Hamlet, MacBeth, Romeo and Juliet …) offers us a range of characters, the “Strange People” often considered crazy. But are they? Besides, what is madness?
To try to answer this question, an intriguing, seductive, disturbing and demonic Ringmaster, straight out of the Burtonian universe, becomes the central thread of the play and observes each of the “Strangers” in their privacy. He who possesses the secrets of the world, can he provide the answers to our questions and thus dispel our deepest fears?

Questions, doubts, desires, uncontrollable fear, violent desires; like a palette full of colors, everyone's stories and emotions intersect and merge to parallel our own existence.
The texts of William Shakespeare translated by Victor Hugo, a
he soundtrack of the group The Doors sung live, in an intimate cabaret atmosphere; “Strange People » is an offbeat, sensual, captivating and disturbing piece, inspired by the work of Philippe Caubère and Clémence Massart.

"The Journey of the Korrigan"

Creation 2013/2014

Children's show

based on traditional tales from around the world.

"A show imbued with poetry and magic in the tradition of extraordinary storytellers."

A young Breton elf, Ewen the Korrigan, welcomes us into her world with music.

Our young storyteller dreams of discovering the world. With her flute in her pocket and dreams in her head, she lets herself be carried by the North wind and sets off to discover distant lands and peoples as wonderful as they are varied...

Ewen, traveling across continents, transmits to us the traditional tales of the various countries she visits. She introduces us to men with customs, beliefs and legends different from Westerners.

Through his journey and his discoveries, Ewen brings little-known or long-forgotten ancestral tales up to date. Through her stories, she transmits a message of tolerance, respect and listening to our environment and those around us. It reminds us how important it is to live in harmony with nature and in peace with living beings.

«The Journey of the Korrigan » is a solo show lasting 30 minutes, directed and performed by Cyriel Tardivel, in the traditional tradition of storytellers. It is aimed at an audience of all ages. The youngest love the mischievous and endearing character of Ewen as well as the multiple and colorful accessories.
